Jaris Hansen

Co-Founder

Jaris Hansen has been helping retirees and pre-retirees in Northern Colorado navigate the important financial decisions that come with retirement since 2001. As a Founder of Retirement Planning Center of the Rockies, he has helped build a firm centered on comprehensive retirement planning, personal relationships, and helping clients bring their vision for retirement to life.

He believes retirement planning shouldn’t feel overwhelming. He focuses on making complex retirement topics easier to understand, helping folks move forward with clarity and confidence.

For Jaris, a thoughtful retirement plan is more than managing finances. It’s about the peace of mind that comes from understanding how all the pieces work together, so retirees can spend less time worrying about money and more time enjoying the retirement they’ve worked hard for.

Outside the office, Jaris and his wife live in Greeley, Colorado, with their five children and an ever-growing assortment of farm animals. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing the piano, serving in his church, and volunteering with Junior Achievement, where he has taught financial literacy to local students for more than a decade.

Gary Hansen

Founder

Gary Hansen has been in the financial services industry since 1980 and has served customers all across the western United States. Gary has hosted and appeared as a guest speaker on several radio shows, and has been featured in various newspaper and magazine articles over the years. He is dedicated to continually furthering his expertise by regularly attending training sessions around the country with some of the nation’s top financial experts and Social Security advisors. Gary is an NSSA Certified Social Security Advisor. When not working, Gary enjoys spending time with his family – his wife of over 40 years, and his 7 children and 16 grandchildren (and counting). He is an avid racquetball player but also enjoys cycling, golfing, and Taekwondo. Gary also spends many hours each week in charitable activities – volunteering for his church, spending time in the local schools educating young people about financial literacy, and (probably his favorite) driving John Deere tractors on a welfare farm in Greeley. Gary’s personal motto is two-fold: 1) Always tell the truth, even when it hurts, and 2) Always do what is in his client’s best interest.

JOSH CUMRINE

Co-Founder

With an unwavering drive to do more for his clients, Josh founded his financial planning practice to guide retirees in developing sustainable financial plans to help them live their ideal lifestyles throughout their golden years. Early on, Josh had a passion for three things: baseball, numbers and helping people. He soon realized one of those passions was not going to be a career option and joined a financial firm in 2003. There, he gained valuable experience, but he also realized areas where he could better help his clients as an independent financial advisor. Now an Investment Adviser Representative, Josh honors his fiduciary responsibility by putting his clients’ needs and goals first. He takes his select families through a process that helps them understand what their new, well-devised plan can accomplish and how it could ultimately benefit them. In turn, this helps reduce any doubt or confusion they may have. Josh specializes in creating and tailoring innovative financial plans designed with the retiree in mind. He has passed the Series 65 securities exam and holds life insurance licenses in Colorado. As a retirement income planning, investment planning and legacy planning professional, Josh has been featured in prominent news outlets, including Fortune Magazine. He also contributed a chapter to the book “Victory!” Josh lives in Windsor, Colorado, with his wife and three sons. He is an avid softball and racquetball player as well as a CrossFit and wakeboarding enthusiast. He enjoys spending time with his family outdoors and is very active in his church and community.
